Paris -- Oct 4

We are getting up a little earlier but still not out of the apartment until 11:30. We walk thru the Passy Covered Market, down a cute street filled with shops, and a mall. Scoping out what we will do tomorrow. Time for lunch. We stop at a tabac restaurant and have a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a hamburger. Gets us going. Very pleasant. Now time to figure out the metro. Not too bad. I buy 10 tickets with the help of the man next in line. And we are off to the Cluny Museum. We are now in the heart of tourist country. Crowded, different nationalities. Museum is interesting. The Lady and the Unicorn tapestries are indeed the highlight. Lots of other interesting pieces. I liked the St. Stephen tapestries as well. Couple of hours later it's time to go. We walk down to the Seine and look at Notre Dame in its current state. So lucky it was saved but so much work to do. Lots of scaffolding. We head back to the Metro. The weather today has been lovely. Sunny and mild. Back to the apartment to do laundry.

For dinner we head to Alba, an Italian restaurant near by. Dinner is great and our waiter is great. He recommends a four cheese pizza and a pasta with truffle cream, prosciutto and cheese. And a bottle of Nero d'Avolo. Delish. Home to put clothes in dryer and get ready to head out tomorrow.
